1st and last mile.

There were two primary factors that led me to choose the Bickerton, a less popular bicycle model.

While searching for a foldable bike, my two primary requirements were that it should roll smoothly when folded during my transition on trains, and the chain and gear should be hidden in the chassis to protect them from damages and accidental stains from the oil chain in case it touches other commuters.

After trying out several foldable bikes, I finally settled on the Bickerton, as it provided me with the most fluid movement. The wheels are most aligned with each other when folded, enabling me to steer the bike with minimal effort.

The salesperson recommended that I leave the handlebar up and push the bike like a pram. However, standing behind the bike restricted the stride of my walking. The best way to push the bike is still to extend the seat post and push it from the left.

With trial and error, I found the perfect angle for tilting the bike when rolling, and now pushing the bike inside the train station is a breeze.
