10 Years On.

Updated: Mar 28, 2023

Life has a way of coming full circle. Ten years ago, I found myself navigating through a place that many men feared to enter. This year marks a decade of my dedicated work in Northern Uganda.

Among the people I have encountered in Northern Uganda, the Acholi tribe stands out for their exceptional beauty. Although their initial appearance may seem aggressive and fierce, getting to know them reveals their hospitable and warm nature. Perhaps it is due to the hardships they have endured living amidst insurgency for 22 years, which has made them resilient.

When the honey flow season arrives, I travel up north to visit the farmers and assist them in preparing for honey harvesting. I pack my buckets on top of my car and purchase the honey directly from these beekeepers.

Living amongst them has given me a deep appreciation for the blessings of being a Singaporean.
