In Uganda, many farmers used to discard beeswax—unaware of its value.When I began working with local communities, I introduced a simple innovation: the solar wax melter.

Using only sunlight, farmers now transform discarded comb into clean beeswax—ready for candle-making, cosmetics, or extra income.

No smoke. No electricity. Just sunlight and knowledge.

Appropriate technology like this doesn’t just improve processes—it empowers livelihoods and builds sustainability from the ground up.
