Specially handpicked Arabica Kigezi Coffee from Uganda - The Pearl of Africa
In 2012, Nitubaasa built a wet processing mill in Nyakishenyi sub-county, Rukungiri district in the south-western part of Uganda. Located at an altitude of 1735m, the wet mill collects coffees cherries from over 3'000 smallholder coffee growers. Thanks to its expertise, Nitubaasa produces specialty grade Arabica coffee which grows between 1590 and 1917 meters. Nitubaasa sources coffee from the Kigezi Mountains namely within a triangle formed by Rukungiri, Kisoro and Kabale. The southern and western sides of this region are home to the famous mountain gorillas.
