In The Still Of The Night.

The year was 2007. It was one of those nights that we experienced brown-out. The entire Kampala was in total darkness. To top it all, the rain was coming down hard.

All alone, cold and hungry, I tried to ignore the hunger pangs by writing my thoughts out. Life was tough then.

It started off with scribbles but slowly my pen-strokes began to make sense with proper words - words translated from my heart. In no time, it began to fill up pages till I lost count.

Looking back, I realised during my darkest days, there was no one there to share my sorrows. How did I ever get out of it, I now know I was wrong. He was there. He was the one that kept me going.

All these shall pass. Tough times never last, tough people do.
