Looking back at my 2011 interview with SME Magazine (“The Road Less Travelled”), I’m reminded why I chose to build my honey journey in Uganda. The road was tough, but it proved that real opportunity often lies where few dare to look.
Back in 2011, SME Magazine featured my journey into Uganda’s honey industry—a path few in Singapore would have considered at the time.
As I said then:“I crave challenge—when was the last time you did something for the first time?”
What began as a challenge became a mission: training farmers, securing European certification, and exporting Ugandan honey internationally. It showed me that the road less travelled isn’t just about business—it’s about transformation for communities and ourselves.
