When you pay peanuts.

My bike chain worn out quite fast. I bought my bike last July and the chain only lasted 6 months.

I felt my rides were getting a bit lagging, having rippling sound from the chain. Initially I thought I had a misaligned derailleur. When I inserted the chain checker, I found out that the chain had in fact extended.

Gotten a set of chain from Carousell and began the big project. :P

I thought I was in good hands and had all the necessary stuff to replace my chain. The moment I attached the chain breaker and started turning to break the chain from the bike, the pin of the chain breaker started to bend, resulting in damaging the chain. I was a bit shocked at first but then again, I should have expected this. I got this chain breaker at a very cheap price, together with a alan tool set.
Luckily, chain breakers are easily available on carousell and I proceed to buy another one, of course a more reliable and recommended one from carousell.

Had my chain fixed the following day.

As the famous saying goes....at times, when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
