Compared to Rwanda, life in Uganda was more exciting and enjoyable. The community was warm and friendly, and there were plenty of activities to participate in.
However, when we relocated to Rwanda in 2012, we did not have many friends. The people there seemed to keep to themselves, and the atmosphere was not as welcoming as in Uganda.
One of our most memorable experiences was supplying our honey to the largest supermarket chain in Uganda, Shoprite. It was a pleasure working with them, and they were prompt and fair payers, ensuring a steady income for us.

The popularity of our honey was largely due to our top-quality packaging. While other honey brands were packaged in plastic jars, we used glass jars, which added perceived value to our product. Our marketing strategies focused heavily on packaging and this proved to be a key factor in our success.

I long for the good old days when life was simple and carefree. Reflecting on our decision to move to Rwanda, I am not sure it was the right choice. My memories of Rwanda are mostly negative and filled with heartache.
