Over the weekend, I enjoyed a relaxing stay at Pulai Spring Resort. I chose this location because it was in close proximity to my main objective, which was to work on the colony of stingless bees at Alex's farm.
On Friday afternoon, I took a bus from Kranji station and savored the ride, including the queue at CIQ. The slow pace of the journey didn't bother me in the slightest since I had plenty of time and was feeling completely stress-free.

Later that same evening, I had dinner with Alex, and the following morning, I headed over to his farm. Since he was busy manning his store, I took it upon myself to make some preparations with the colony on my own.

Typically, when a colony has not been managed for a while, they tend to be more defensive in nature. Despite being known as "Stingless" bees, they can still bite when provoked. Therefore, it is important to approach them calmly and with care, regardless of their species name.

While the colony you were working with may have had a bit of a bad temper, it sounds like it wasn't as challenging as working with African bees, which are known for their highly temperamental behavior. The species of bees that Alex has at his farm are the tetragonula itama

There's something special about having the opportunity to interact with these tiny creatures and observe their behavior up close.
