It has been over 10 years since the war ended, but many people in the first world still believe that those in Northern Uganda are living in constant fear. This misconception may be due to a lack of updated information about the situation in the region.
When I travel to the North, I see progress and development, and I am greeted by smiling faces who assure me that everything is alright now. The people are moving forward, eager to learn and become independent. They want to stand tall and build a better future. Through the eyes of these children of Uganda, I see hope and promise for the future.
These are the children of my bee farmers. Whenever I visit their villages, I enjoy playing with them. They are so innocent and pure, yet they have so little and so much at the same time.
