After a year of searching and exploring, we have finally found a potential location for the Singapore Beekeepers Club in Malaysia. Although nothing is set in stone yet, we have taken the first step in setting up a trial apiary in the area. Our hope is that this place will be suitable for a bee farm, where individuals who are passionate about beekeeping can have their own hives, learn how to care for bees, and harvest honey. Recently, with the assistance of Alex (whom we jokingly call the "Malaysia Indiana Jones"), we were able to deploy the first catcher box for the trial. In the upcoming months, we plan to add more boxes to the apiary.

Alex can be seen loading the hive onto his pickup truck in preparation for the move to the new location. The photos then shows a brief sneak peek of the intended location, with some construction work underway for accommodation.

The deployment of the catcher box involves placing a box designed to capture bees in a strategic location. This is typically done in order to collect bees for use in an apiary or for research purposes. The box is baited with a sweet scent to attract the bees, and once inside, they are trapped until they can be collected. The process requires careful planning and execution to ensure the safety of the bees and those handling the box.

The pleasure and contentment derived from revisiting the forest is unparalleled.
